Outside The Box First Date Spots in Atlanta
If you’re single in Atlanta, you know that first dates can be just plain awkward. The old dinner and a movie is pretty boring and not very well thought-out. Plus, once you sit down in that movie theater, you’re pretty stuck until the movie is over. That’s why we’re sharing some of our favorite non-awkward first date spots in Atlanta.
You want to go somewhere that puts zero pressure on you, that also allows you to just have fun and get to know each other. But that means being somewhere that isn’t too quiet and that has plenty for you each to do.
Here are a few ideas for first date spots in Atlanta:
The Roof at Ponce City Market - From mini golf to boardwalk games, this place has it all. There’s food, drinks, and entertainment.
Georgia Aquarium - You’ll have plenty to talk about as you wander through the aquarium. It’s in the heart of downtown and allows you to take the date elsewhere if you’re having a great time.
Andretti - Not just car racing, Andretti has food, drinks, and games that differ depending on the location. There are two locations near Atlanta.
Game-X - If you’re into arcade games, you’ll love Game-X. It’s a room full of arcade games, old and new. Plus, TV screens are always playing Atlanta sports.
Apple picking - An apple farm is a great laid-back date. You’ll be able to spend some time outdoors getting to know each other. There are a number of apple farms around Atlanta you can visit.
Bowling - Bowling is usually pretty loud, keeping that awkward silence out of the picture during your date. This is a fun way to see how the other person handles a little competition.
Find a date spot that offers a variety and keeps it fun. You want somewhere that’s loud, but not too loud that you can’t actually get to know your date. And it always helps to have a spot that doesn’t have a time limit attached to it - you know, in case things get awkward.
